Sustainability Policy

ESG:

Our company purpose

is to provide the leading rail leasing service to passenger and freight train operators.

Our business entails

obtaining finance for the procurement of trains and rolling stock to lease to operators in the UK and mainland Europe. To do this with success and resilience we must have credibility in our marketplace. Maintaining relationships and trust with our customers and suppliers is vital and we must consider and act on the impacts of our business to the public and wider society, our wider supply chain and the environment.

For us sustainable business means

understanding and managing our impacts on people, the environment and the economy proactively, aiming to optimise the positive and take all steps possible to overcome or minimise the negative. We recognise we need to do this over the long term as well as the short and that challenges and opportunities change and we must be ready to recognise them and adapt through learning, innovation and agility. This will help build and maintain a more resilient and successful business now and for the longer term future.

Our sustainability principles

  • We make safety central to everything we do.
  • To engage with our stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and take steps to know everthing necessary to manage Beacon as a sustainable business in an integrated, collaborative way.

  • Operate to the highest standards of business ethics and security through company and internal understanding whereby everyone takes responsibility, supported by robust policy and implementation processes.
